V-1911 P-40 Warhawk Flying Tiger

$39.97$299.97

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was a single-engine, single-seat fighter and ground-attack aircraft used by multiple Allied forces in World War II, trailing only the P-51 and P-47 in total numbers built. The distinctive Flying Tigers, officially the 1st American Volunteer Group, were actually part of the Chinese Air Force, recruited from U.S. pilots. The Tigers’ P-40 matched up well with Japanese enemy aircraft, especially at high speeds. During one 6–½ month period, the Tigers downed 297 enemy planes in air-to-air combat, while losing just 4 of their own.
